Song One
Hardly-plain Anne Hathaway has a camera -ready arch with a altogether coiffed brownie and larger-than activity lips. Compared to John Carney’s Once, however, it’s a one agenda song. Considering it’s writer-director Kate Barker-Froyland’s admission film, it’s a champ for her because of the affiance it shows.
The Nicholas Sparks-like bathetic tropes are there: For instance, her folk singing brother, Henry (Ben Rosenfield), is in a blackout while her mother (Mary Steenburgen) is aberrant and Franny (Hathaway) has been conflicting from her and her brother . Enter baby folksinger James Forester (Johnny Flynn), who sings adult naturalistic songs and wins doctoral applicant Franny’s heart.
