As he moves into adulthood at 40 years old, Conrad Valmont (Bateman), the over-taught, under-utilized beneficiary to the Valmont Lodging fortune, is cut off from his stipend after his guardians’ sharp separate and threw out into the unforgiving avenues of the Upper West Side. Fortunately, he is taken in by his old companion Dylan (Crudup) and furnishes a proportional payback by instantly falling for Dylan’s lady friend, Beatrice (Wilde).
