Margaret (Sally Kirkland), a feisty, tormented previous daily paper writer, battles to ensure her opportunity notwithstanding the dementia she can’t control. After a scene in a strip mall parking garage where she is not able to discover her auto and is determined home by the police, her girl Kate (Victoria Clark), a yearning New York City culinary specialist, is waved upstate to her mother’s helper. While there, Kate creates a sentimental tryst with a new kid on the block officer (Karl Geary) as she arrangements with her mother’s requests. Kate endeavors to get Margaret included with exercises at the senior focus, however Margaret is worried and angry. Before long, a man from Margaret’s past, Sergeant Calder (James Murtaugh), re-enters her life, creating Margaret to fear she will never again have the capacity to secure herself.
